He explained that His Father loved Him

He instructed them to listen carefully, for He would be betrayed, (Luke 9:44)

He would be condemned to death (Matthew 20:18)

And after three days He would rise to life. (Mark 9:31)

He told them He was returning to Me,

To His Father and to His God. (John 20:17)

But they did not understand Him. (Mark 9:32)

In His entire life, He never went against My will and never lied. (1 Peter 2:22)

Nobody could prove Him guilty of sin, (John 8:46)

Yet He suffered many things and was rejected by everyone. (Luke 17:25)
